How to play

Tap a tube, then tap where its top balls should go — or drag them. A group of the same colour on top moves together. It can go into an empty tube, or onto a tube whose top ball is the same colour. You win when every colour is gathered in a tube of its own.

The jar

Some puzzles have a short jar next to the tubes. It is not a small tube; it has its own rules:

• It takes one group at a time.
• It locks to the first colour you put in it, for the rest of the puzzle — even after it is empty again.
• You can’t finish with anything left in it.

Common questions

When does a new puzzle arrive? At midnight, your local time. Everyone gets the same puzzle on the same day.

What is par? The number of moves in the best solution we know of. Matching it scores full points.

Does using a hint cost anything? Hints are free and unlimited. A day finished with hints scores half, and says so — that is all.

Is there a timer? No. Take as long as you like.

Can I move my progress to a new phone? Not yet. Kolba has no account and sends nothing anywhere, so progress lives on the device it was made on.

What does Game Center do? It is optional and off until you turn it on in the menu. Then you get a weekly and an all-time leaderboard with your friends, and achievements. Your scores and achievements go to Apple’s Game Center.

How do I start over? Menu → Settings → Reset progress. It deletes everything and can’t be undone.

How do I change the language? iOS Settings → Kolba → Language.
